Thursday marked the release of the Philadelphia Eagles’ first official injury report ahead of their Monday Night Football wild card playoff matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Eagles switched to a padded practice from their original plan of holding a walkthrough.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE was the status for three players: Sydney Brown, Reed Blankenship, and A.J. Brown.
Reports following the Eagles’ Week 18 match against the Bucs suggested that Brown ought to be able to play. It’s not ideal, though, that he was unable to practice. To help him make it to Monday, the Eagles are presumably controlling his workload.
When Blankenship recovered from Tyrod Taylor’s tipped pass in Week 18, he was forced to leave the game due to a groin injury. It’s not good if he can’t participate. especially considering that Sydney Brown, who hasn’t been placed on injured reserve yet, will also miss the entire season because of an ACL tear. Right now, the only healthy safety on the playing roster is Kevin Byard. Tristin McCollum is another member of the Eagles practice squad.
