When the Seminoles presented their 2024 spring media guide on Monday, a few familiar faces were absent, including Senior Defensive Analyst Shane Burnham, Volunteer Analyst (defence) Anthony Midget, and Student Assistant Coach (offence) Nick O’Leary.
The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Wednesday morning that they had hired Midget to be their assistant secondary coach. Longtime head coach Mike Tomlin and secondary coach Grady Brown will oversee him.

Midget was the defensive backs coach for the Tennessee Titans for three seasons before moving to Tallahassee. He started his NFL career as a secondary coach for the Houston Texans, where he served for six seasons, the last two of which he led the position group with the franchise.
Midget has over 20 years of coaching experience across the NFL, college, and high school levels. He worked at his alma mater, Virginia Tech, as a graduate assistant prior to serving as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator at Georgia State from 2008-11. He added the role of defensive coordinator in 2012. Midget was hired by Penn State as safeties coach the following season before making the leap to the NFL.

In addition, he was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to starting his coaching career.
