Russell Wilson begins his offseason training as the Steelers’ quarterback, despite reports that he may be traded for Justin Fields.
Russell Wilson’s offseason training camp has begun, with the new Steelers quarterback reporting to work just a week after arriving to Pittsburgh.
Wilson signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract with the Steelers last Friday after being released by the Denver Broncos, ending his unhappy two-year tenure with the team.
After failing to live up to the promise in Denver, where he was awarded a new five-year contract deal for $245 million just 19 months ago, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback is under pressure to revitalize his career in Pittsburgh.
And if the stakes weren’t high enough already for him, he will also have Justin Fields to compete with next season after the Chicago Bears traded their former first-round pick to the Steelers last week.
With a huge season in store, Wilson has already started working on his game in the offseason after sharing a video of himself in practice on social media.
