Three motorcycle gang members have been jailed following a violent assault in Findon.

Callum Shaw, Daniel Kent, and Barry Brown.

Following a severe assault in Findon, three motorcycle gang members were sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison.

Callum Shaw, Barry Brown, and Daniel Kent, all members of the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club, were jailed following an incident in 2022.

On October 8, Hell’s Angels vehicles came into contact with Vikings Motorcycle Club members on Findon Road.

Several Hell’s Angels members got from their trucks and began attacking the Vikings.

The court heard that this was “revenge” after a group of Vikings stole jackets and other stuff from Hell’s Angels members at a Surrey gas station earlier that day.

One of the Vikings, a 52-year-old guy from Harrow, fled from the scene. Shaw chased him down.

Shaw stabbed the victim before Brown and Kent ran over to save him.

Brown kicked and stamped on the motorbike before Kent struck him with a baton.

A number of witnesses contacted 999, and the attack was captured on video. The victim had life-threatening injuries and was treated on the scene. He has since recovered.

Police later apprehended all three suspects.

Shaw, 27, of no known address, confessed Section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH), burglary, violent disorder, and knife possession and received a 12-year jail sentence.

When he came before Lewes Crown Court on Monday, 26 February, he was also granted a five-year license extension due to the seriousness of the act.

Brown, 41, of Top Road, Calow, Derbyshire, was sentenced to three years in jail for violent disorder and actual bodily injury at Lewes Crown Court on Friday, March 1, 2019.

Kent, 28, of Farrington Avenue in Bushey, Hertfordshire, was also imprisoned for three years on March 1 for violent disorder, actual bodily injury, and possession of an offensive weapon.

He received an additional year in prison for a burglary at Portsmouth’s Vikings Club House.

Detective Constable Matt Watson, the investigating officer, stated: “This was a vicious attack and an incident that quickly escalated.”

“The significant sentences acknowledge the gravity of the occurrence, which occurred in the middle of a crowded street and had a devastating impact on the local community. What they witnessed will undoubtedly continue to influence and traumatise nearby witnesses.

“Shaw, Brown and Kent are dangerous individuals, and the streets are safer with them in prison.”
