The Green Bay Packers have named former NFL players as fellowship coaches.

Four of Green Bay’s twelve fellowship coaches have NFL experience, including J.J. Wilcox, a former Dallas Cowboys safety.

The Green Bay Packers unveiled 12 new coaches on Thursday, who will assist the team during training camp. These coaches came to Green Bay through the league’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, a program that permits current college and high school coaches to get professional experience.

Several of these coaches are connected to the Packers’ current coaching staff. Four of them have previously played in the NFL.

Jalen Harris

Harris is a first-year wide receivers coach for UAB who previously served as an offensive analyst and assistant tight ends coach for the team in 2023. Before then, he spent the 2022 season as a graduate assistant with Arkansas. Prior to his stint at Arkansas, he worked at Lipscomb Academy, where current UAB head coach and former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer was the head coach of the prep program.

Jeremiah Kolone

Kolone is an offensive graduate assistant with Arizona, but he has previously played at the NFL level. From 2018 through cutdowns in 2023, Kolone was a member of the Los Angeles Rams, a program which Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has strong ties to — as he’s worked with Rams head coach Sean McVay at several stops. As a guard, Kolone saw action in five games with two starts coming in the 2022 season.

Jared Livingston

Livingston is a running backs coach for Colgate at the FCS level. He’s held that job since 2019, when he left Springfield College — his Division III alma mater.

Joe Price

Price took an interesting route to get to Green Bay, as he was as recently as 2019 the recruiting coordinator for North Shore High School, a Texas powerhouse. From there, he spent a year with Illinois in 2019 as their director of high school relations under former NFL head coach Lovie Smith. Price initially left Illinois in 2020 for Texas-San Antonio, where he took the job of director of player personnel. In 2022, he was promoted to receivers coach and he entered 2023 with the title of associate head coach/passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach.

Stacy Williams

Williams is the only high school coach who was brought in by the Packers. He’s currently a high school and special education teacher at The Woodlands High School in Texas. Last year, The Woodlands won two playoff games before falling short against Duncanville High, which eventually won the state title over North Shore High — one of The Woodland’s regular season losses in 2023. According to the Packers’ press release, Williams will be working with the offensive side of the ball.

Tre’ Bell

Bell has served as a quality control coach with Eastern Kentucky, a graduate assistant with Mississippi State and Florida State and a cornerbacks coach for Akron. In 2024, he joined West Virginia as a defensive analyst.

Siriki Diabate

A former captain for Syracuse, Diabate became a graduate assistant for his alma mater in 2013. Since then, he’s held the title of safeties coach for Colgate, analyst for Notre Dame and linebackers coach for both Middle Tennessee and UConn. He’s previously participated in the NFL’s Minority Internship Program when he coached for the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys. Currently, he’s working under former NFL head coach Jim Mora Jr. with the Huskies.

Michael Hunter

Hunter is a former NFL cornerback who spent four seasons with six teams during his playing career. After sitting out the 2020 season, he resurfaced as an assistant defensive secondary coach with Oklahoma State — his alma mater — in 2021. In 2023, he was hired to be Tulsa’s cornerbacks coach. Now, he’s in his first year as a graduate assistant with Ohio State.

Ahmed Saleh

Saleh is the cousin of New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh, one of LaFleur’s closest friends in the coaching community. As a high school defensive coordinator in Michigan, Saleh was given the opportunity to join the San Francisco 49ers for training camp in 2021. Currently, Saleh is a safeties coach for Northern Michigan.

Mitchell White

White is a former CFL All-Star who played cornerback for the Oakland Raiders in 2013 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. Since his playing career ended, he’s coached with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes, the University of Findlay, the University of Mary, Notre Dame College, Stephen F. Austin, Utah State and now Miami of Ohio, where he serves as a cornerbacks coach.

J.J. Wilcox

The lone special teams coach that was brought in by the Packers is former NFL player J.J. Wilcox, who played in 77 total games during his career. According to Pro Football Reference, he recorded 866 special teams snaps over six NFL seasons. The former safety spent four years with Green Bay special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia when they were with the Dallas Cowboys and Bisaccia was serving as the team’s assistant head coach and special teams coordinator.

Sean Manuel

Manuel is the Packers’ strength and conditioning assistant, coming to them via Greater Atlanta Christian School in Georgia. Manuel previously worked at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas — a national powerhouse — before taking a job with UNLV in 2017 when Bishop Gorman head coach Tony Sanchez was named the head coach of the Rebels’ program.
