NASCAR qualifying canceled at New Hampshire Motor Speedway; starting lineup set for Sunday.
The NASCAR Cup Series will race on another track with flat corners and the promise of tricky passing on Sunday in New Hampshire.
Again, where a driver begins can have a significant impact on where he finishes, particularly in a 301-mile race.
However, qualifying was cancelled due to inclement weather on Saturday. There were benefactors, namely Chase Elliott, who will start from the pole position since NASCAR’s metric determined the field.
Ryan Blaney, last week’s winner, will start alongside Elliott on the front row, with William Byron, Christopher Bell, and Alex Bowman completing the top five. The USA Today 301 will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
