Good News: C.J. Stroud, Texans Wow NFL Fans with GW Drive to Beat Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars

The Houston Texans stunned the nation with a game-winning touchdown pass by C.J. Stroud against the Jacksonville Jaguars with just 18 seconds left in the game.

After leading early in the second quarter, the Texans trailed the entire fourth quarter until Stroud’s game winning throw to Ka’imi Fairbairn, putting them ahead 20-24.

NRG Stadium in Houston erupted after the completion by Stroud, handing the Jaguars their fourth loss of the season and improving the Texans to 3-1.

Stroud finished the day 27 for 40 with 345 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver, Nico Collins contributed to the Texans’ score with one touchdown, finishing the game with 12 receptions for 151 yards.

Texan’s fans were fiercely awaiting as it looked like their team was going to lose against a winless Jaguars team. After the game-winning pass, they took to social media to celebrate their last-second victory along with their young quarterback.

The Texans will look to ride their high into next week’s game against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 6.
