Uriah Heep guitarist reveals the band are “still gonna be touring” after 2025 UK farewell tour
Uriah Heep, the legendary British rock band, has announced an extended farewell tour titled *The Magician’s Farewell*, starting in February 2025. However, this won’t mark the absolute end of their live performances. Guitarist Mick Box, the only original member and the band’s cornerstone since its inception in 1969, has revealed that while the global tour will conclude their regular touring schedule, the band plans to continue playing select shows at festivals and special events beyond 2025.
In a heartfelt announcement, Box reflected on the band’s 55-year history, emphasizing gratitude to their fans and the goal to visit as many locations as possible during the farewell tour. This tour will span two to three years, featuring headlining performances in cities across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Afterward, their focus will shift to occasional live performances rather than extensive tours, signaling a new chapter for the group while maintaining their presence in the rock world.
Despite this winding down, Uriah Heep remains vibrant, with their 2023 album *Chaos & Colour* showcasing their enduring passion and signature sound. Box noted that the band’s distinct identity will persist as long as he is part of it, a testament to their consistency and dedication to their roots.
This farewell tour presents fans with one last chance to witness the iconic rockers on a global stage, celebrating their legacy of over 40 million albums sold and thousands of live performances worldwide. The UK leg of the tour will kick off in Birmingham on February 19, 2025, with stops in Glasgow, Manchester, London, and more, accompanied by special guests April Wine and Tyketto【8】【9】【10】.
