The New Orleans Saints won’t be seeing the postseason following this season, unfortunately. For the fourth year in a row, they’ll owe watching from the couch. That reality makes their latest decision seem like it came too little, too late. That’s because it did.
Saints’ latest uniform choice
According to Khalen Saunders on a social media video from the team, the Saints will wear a fan favorite combo on Monday night against the Green bay packers.
New Orleans will wear their color rush uniform with their gold helmet. This is the first time they’ve worn that duo together this season. Fans have wondered if they’ll ever see this unique look again, and now, they will.
Normally, over the past two seasons, they’ve worn their newest helmet, the black one, with the color rush jersey/pants.
That helmet has sharp opinions among their fans. Some love it, and some do not like it whatsoever. There is very little in between in conversation regarding their newest uniform addition, that New Orleans added when the NFL allowed teams to add a second helmet to their options for a season.
Regardless, the beautiful combo of the gold helmet and color rush uniform will get whipped out for a game that will only affect the draft stock for the Saints.
Winning the primetime matchup would only hurt their positioning in that. Meanwhile, the Packers are still vying for a top seed in the NFC side of the postseason.
