Congratulations to Brisbane broncos new captain 2025?

Adam Reynolds, the seasoned halfback, has been reaffirmed as the captain of the Brisbane Broncos for the 2025 NRL season. This decision underscores the club’s confidence in his leadership and experience as they aim to rebound from a challenging 2024 season.

Reynolds, who joined the Broncos in 2022 after a successful tenure with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has been instrumental in guiding the team both on and off the field. His strategic acumen and composure under pressure have been pivotal in the Broncos’ performances over the past few years. Despite an injury-plagued 2024 season, where he managed only 13 games due to a bicep injury, Reynolds’ commitment to the team remains unwavering.

In February 2024, Reynolds extended his contract with the Broncos until the end of 2025, signaling his dedication to the club’s future. Coach Kevin Walters expressed his support, stating, “We all know what Reyno brings to our club—he is our leader and our general, and he has made a huge impact in a short time here at the Broncos.”

The 2024 season was tumultuous for the Broncos, culminating in a 12th-place finish and the departure of Coach Walters. Michael Maguire, who previously coached Reynolds to a premiership with the Rabbitohs in 2014, has been appointed as the new head coach. Maguire’s familiarity with Reynolds is expected to be advantageous as they work together to revitalize the team’s fortunes. Maguire remarked, “I’ve had a long relationship with Adam and have got a lot of time for Adam. He is a winner.”

There has been speculation about potential changes in the team’s leadership structure, with some suggesting that forward Pat Carrigan could assume the captaincy. However, both Carrigan and Reynolds have dismissed these notions. Carrigan stated, “No chance, 100 per cent behind Reyno. People that know him as a leader and the influence he has on the club, it’s second to none.” Reynolds, too, has expressed his desire to continue leading the team, saying, “I’d love to do the job next year, 100 per cent. I love the battle of the captaincy and the mental side of things as well.”

As the Broncos prepare for the 2025 season, Reynolds’ leadership will be crucial in mentoring younger players and fostering a resilient team culture. His experience and strategic insight are invaluable assets as the Broncos strive to return to their winning ways. The club and its supporters are optimistic that, under the guidance of Reynolds and Coach Maguire, the Broncos will overcome the challenges of the previous season and reestablish themselves as formidable contenders in the NRL.
