Adam Vinatieri, former New England Patriots kicker, named Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist.
Adam Vinatieri, a former NFL kicker who spent ten seasons with the New England Patriots, is a finalist for this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Vinatieri, widely regarded as one of the best kickers of all time, was named one of 15 candidates for the Class of 2025 on Saturday.
It is his first year of eligibility for the Hall of Fame after retiring in 2021. Meanwhile, two more Patriots heroes must wait another year.
Rodney Harrison and Vince Wilfork were both announced as semifinalists alongside Vinatieri last month, but did not make the finals.
Did Adam Vinatieri make the Pro Football Hall of Fame?
Adam Vinatieri is a finalist for this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame class, the museum’s selection committee announced Saturday. Vinatieri is one of fifteen player finalists for the Class of 2025.
Him and Fred Taylor, who played two seasons in New England, are the only Patriots to make the list.
The selection committee will now narrow down the list of finalists to vote on 20 individuals, including coaches and contributors, early next year.
The inductees will be announced at “NFL Honors” on Feb. 6 and enshrined in August.
