Good news ELI TOMAC INTERVIEW: “THE 2025 SEASON WILL BE MY FINAL SEASON
Eli Tomac, one of the most decorated motocross and supercross riders of his generation, recently announced that the 2025 season will be his final year in the sport. In an exclusive interview, the 32-year-old opened up about his decision to retire, reflecting on his incredible career and his plans for the future.
Tomac’s decision to step away didn’t come lightly. “This sport has been my life for over two decades,” he shared. “From the moment I first got on a bike, I knew this is what I wanted to do. But there comes a time when you have to listen to your body and your mind. I feel like the 2025 season is the right time to close this chapter.”
The Colorado native has achieved legendary status in the motocross and supercross world. With multiple AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross championships under his belt, Tomac has cemented himself as one of the sport’s all-time greats. “When I look back at my career, I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished,” he said. “I’ve raced against the best in the world, and I’ve pushed myself to limits I didn’t know were possible. But it’s not just the titles or the wins that matter—it’s the journey, the people I’ve met, and the lessons I’ve learned.”
The decision to retire was influenced by a combination of factors. “Physically, motocross and supercross are some of the most demanding sports out there,” Tomac explained. “I’ve been fortunate to avoid career-ending injuries, but I’ve had my fair share of challenges. It’s important to step away while I’m still competitive and able to enjoy the ride.”
Tomac also expressed a desire to spend more time with his family. “Being a professional athlete requires an incredible amount of sacrifice, not just from me but from my loved ones as well. I want to be there for my kids, my wife, and my family in a way I haven’t been able to during my career.”
As for the 2025 season, Tomac is approaching it with a sense of gratitude and determination. “This will be my farewell tour, and I want to make it memorable. I’m going to give it everything I’ve got, race by race, and soak in every moment. I owe that to my fans, my team, and myself.”
Tomac’s legacy extends beyond his racing achievements. His professionalism, humility, and work ethic have made him a role model for aspiring riders around the world. “If I can inspire the next generation to chase their dreams, work hard, and never give up, then I’ll feel like I’ve truly made an impact,” he said.
When asked about his post-retirement plans, Tomac hinted at staying connected to the sport. “I love motocross and supercross too much to walk away completely. Whether it’s mentoring young riders, working with a team, or contributing to the sport in other ways, I’ll still be around.”
As Eli Tomac prepares for his final season, fans, competitors, and the motocross community will undoubtedly celebrate the career of a true legend. “I’m excited for what’s to come, but I’ll always cherish the memories I’ve made on the track,” he concluded.
