Breanna Nix is an American alternative pop musician and a finalist on Season 23 of American Idol. Born on August 7, 1999, in Odessa, Texas, she currently resides in Denton, Texas. Before her rise to fame, Nix was a stay-at-home mom with a deep passion for gospel and country music. She began leading worship at her church at the age of 12 and has been influenced by her mother, Tammie Lynn Fisher, who was a member of a family music trio.

During her time on American Idol, Nix captivated audiences with her powerful vocals and emotional performances, ultimately securing a third-place finish. Following the competition, she released her debut single, a cover of Toby Lightman’s “Higher,” on May 18, 2025. The song achieved significant success, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, peaking at No. 40 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, and topping the Christian Digital Song Sales chart. Additionally, it reached the No. 1 spot on the iTunes country songs chart.

Nix is married to Austin Nix, whom she wed on October 12, 2019. Together, they have a son named Emerson Nix. Despite her newfound fame, Nix remains grounded in her Christian faith and continues to balance her musical career with her family life.
