Top In-State Recruit Set to Return to Clemson
One of the top players in the state plans to visit Clemson next month.
4-star OL Zyon Guiles (Carvers Bay) told The Clemson Insider that he plans to be on hand for the Elite Retreat on January 25.
Guiles last visited for the rivalry game against South Carolina and this upcoming visit could be a big one, as Guiles recently told TCI he is getting close to making a decision.
“Between January and February most likely,” Guiles said when asked about a timeline for making a decision.
On3 ranks Guiles No. 86 overall, No. 6 among all interior linemen and No. 1 in the state of South Carolina.
“They’re always a family-based coaching staff,” Guiles said after his last visit. “They’re always showing the support and love that they have for me as a person and as an athlete. Always stressing to me that making the decision based on my goals is more important than what other schools can offer you in the moment. That is pretty important. They are just always showing the love and support for me.”
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman now has close to two dozen offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Colorado, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina, who all made his top eight, along with Clemson.
