Is Isaiah Bond leaving Texas football for the NFL Draft?
An Alabama transfer, Bond finished 2024 with 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns. For his career between the Crimson Tide and Longhorns, Bond had 99 catches for 1,428 yards and 10 touchdowns.
More than half of that production, though, occurred in September. A sprained ankle suffered Oct. 12 against Oklahoma turned out to hamper Bond the rest of the season.
He reaggravated the injury late in the SEC championship game on Dec. 7, them missed Texas’ first-round CFP win over Clemson.
In the last three games Bond played in, he accounted for two catches for just 30 yards.
In spite of the injury issues, Bond is considered a first-round talent, who is not expected to fall out of the second round.
Assuming health and an NFL Scouting Combine invitation, if Bond is fit and tests well, he could sneak into the back half of the first round.
