75-YO “John Force” “Periods of Confusion” Extends Recovery Timeline.

John Force, 75, was recently engaged in a serious crash during the NHRA Virginia Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park. And it’s been a difficult journey for him and his family for two weeks now. He was traveling at an incredible speed of 300 mph when he struck with a concrete wall!

This hit was significant enough to induce a traumatic brain injury, but it could have been far worse, even fatal. Fans eagerly await any information from the family. Recently, journalist Bob Pockrass provided an update on Force’s health status.

Good news for John Force fans!

John Force‘s injuries are undoubtedly serious, but there is positive news with the latest update. Medical staff and doctors worked dedicatedly on his recovery and he is showing encouraging responses to the treatment. Bob Pockrass recently updated fans that Force has now been shifted from incentive care, which is great news. Having crashed at that speed into a concrete wall at this age and making it out of the intensive care unit is no less than a miracle.

He is now in the acute neurocare and the trauma hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He can even talk to people nearby, but there’s still concern because he’s got a fractured sternum and a messed up wrist. And to top it off, he’s still having moments of confusion, which the doctors say will take time to clear up.

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports said, “Although Force is still dealing with cognitive and behavioral symptoms from his TBI, the fact that the Hall of Fame driver can converse with medical staff, family members, and John Force Racing president Robert Hight, who flew in this week, is an encouraging sign. However, there have also been periods of confusion, which doctors say require time and patience to treat.” Hence, although the results are promising, they can extend his timeline for full recovery.

Bob Pockrass also conveyed that the entire family has been with Force since the NHRA champion arrived at the hospital. However, the road ahead for the 75-year-old is not going to be easy. And doctors have emphasized that it will be a difficult time ahead to get on the road to recovery. Meanwhile, fans are flooding the socials, pouring their love and appreciation for John Force!

Force is truly a force to be reckoned with!

NASCAR fans everywhere have rallied together, and on hearing the news, they’ve been sending their support and praying for John’s speedy recovery. It’s amazing to see how the racing community has come together to lift his and his family’s spirits during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

He is 75 and having such an impact and recovering is a miracle and one fan highlighted that. He said, “To be 75 and fight through all this, man. Tough is an understatement. Just glad he’s making progress.” It seems fitting that his name contains ‘Force’—it reflects the inner strength he’s showing on this journey to recovery.

But most of all many fans cannot believe he survived it. Not just because of his age, but also because the impact was too huge for anyone. Many drivers, like Earnhardt Sr, and Adam Petty, have not been this lucky against serious injuries caused by such impacts. One fan said, ‘The fact that the man is still alive after all he’s been through is amazing. The man is literally invincible. Glad he making progress.”

Even though Force is recovering, his injuries will take time to heal. And given the severity of it, his getting behind the wheels again doesn’t seem like a possibility. One fan said, “Unfortunately I think that crash will be last time we see him in the car.”

Another fan humorously added, “Glad he’s still making progress. He probably is asking when he can race again!” Well, now that he is talking with doctors and nurses, we might have to wait for their statements, but given his love for racing, we won’t be surprised!

All over NASCAR fans are praying for his quick recovery and that has power. One fan said, “Terrific news given the circumstances. Continued prayers and good wishes on a complete recovery.”

As they say, when it’s not your time, nothing can stand in your way. John Force is a known fighter and he will make a recovery very soon!
