The Philippines will host the first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in 2025, from November 21 to December 7.
FIFA issued the statement on Thursday. In a news conference on Friday, Philippine Football Federation head John Gutierrez stated that preparations for the Futsal Women’s World Cup are proceeding as planned.
“Very exciting times for us, especially for futsal enthusiasts,” Gutierrez said, adding that some national team players “have committed their services to the futsal women’s team.”
According to the PFF president, New Zealand, in addition to the Philippines, has qualified for the first Futsal Women’s World Cup. Previously, the PFF stated that they are eyeing two venues for the event, however nothing was put in stone yet at that time.
