Coronation Street actor Calum Lill has revealed his grandmother’s endearing six-word response to the death of his character, Joel Deering, on the popular ITV soap.
The actor shared that his beloved gran Sue reacted to his character’s demise during Friday night’s hour-long special by saying: “I’m so glad it’s not real.” Calum also disclosed that he watches every episode with Sue, who regularly texts him after each one.
He quoted her as saying: ‘Blinking eck, is Kit in the frame now? You really know how to antagonise people! I’m so glad it’s not real’. Calum described his grandmother as ‘adorable’ and shared further text exchanges where she expressed her pride in his performance, reports
