PC Friars Announces 7’2″ Transfer

Anton Bonke will transfer from Eastern Arizona College to Providence College Men’s Basketball, the Friars announced on Monday.

According to PC, Bonke will register in the 2024 spring semester and practise with the team. He will not be able to compete in games until the 2024-25 academic year owing to NCAA midyear enrollment transfer restrictions in basketball.

Bonke, a 7-foot-2-inch centre, has three seasons of eligibility left. He appeared in 17 games this season for Eastern Arizona College, helping the squad to a 13-4 record.

“We are thrilled that Anton has joined our programme,” stated PC Friars Head Coach Kim English. “We believe Anton has the potential to be a valuable player for our club. He is really big and strong, which is important in the Big East. It will be good to have him practise with the club throughout the rest of the 2023-24 season.”
