Jamie Humphreys, a young Manly playmaker, will join the Rabbitohs in 2025 on a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old made his NRL debut for the Sea Eagles in Sunday’s 44-6 victory over the Knights, scoring the game’s first try at 4 Pines Park

“Jamie is a guy we’ve been keeping an eye on for a few years, and we’ve always been impressed with his style of play and work ethic,” Rabbitohs head coach Mark Ellison said.

“He made his first-grade debut yesterday, scoring a try and kicking three goals, and we’ve watched him play many games in the Pre-Season Challenge. He has always played well as a hooker or in the halves.”

Sydney Roosters’ five-eighth Luke Keary will join Raiders captain Elliott Whitehead at Catalans next season after electing to continue playing in the Super League.

Keary, who has won premierships with South Sydney and the Roosters while also representing NSW, Australia, and Ireland, announced his retirement earlier this year but will now continue to play in France.

“I’m really delighted to join Catalans Dragons. “I am excited to contribute to the club’s success.” Keary has signed a two-year contract with Catalans, whose coach, Steve McNamara, formerly worked with the Roosters.

The 32-year-old playmaker won premierships with Souths in 2014 and the Roosters in 2018 and 2019, made his Origin debut in 2020, and represented the Kangaroos in 2018.

Keary represented his Irish roots at the 2022 World Cup and will continue to play when the next World Cup takes place in the Southern Hemisphere in 2026.

McNamara stated, “Luke will be a fantastic addition to our club next season.” He is an exceptional player, leader, and individual. We are delighted that he has chosen to join to Dragons in 2025.”

Elliott Whitehead, an England second-rower, will also join Catalans next season after agreeing to return to Perpignan on a one-year contract following a decade in the NRL.

Whitehead played with the Dragons from 2013 to 2015 before joining the Raiders in 2016. He has played 198 NRL matches and 36 Tests, including the 2017 and 2022 World Cups.

His departure coincides with the arrival of Matty Nicholson, a fellow English forward who will join the Raiders on a new three-year contract beginning in the 2025 season.

Nicholson made his Super League debut for Wigan in 2022, then joined Warrington in 2023, where he has established himself in the starting lineup under Sam Burgess’ coaching.

The 20-year-old made his Test debut for England in 2023, with current Raiders forward Morgan Smithies, against France.

He recently appeared in Warrington’s close defeat to Wigan in the 2024 Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

Don Furner, Raiders CEO, stated that the signing of Nicholson will let another young talented English player to pursue his NRL goal.

“The Raiders have had some fantastic success in attracting young English players to Canberra and establishing themselves as NRL stars,” Furner said.

“We look forward to Matty joining us in 2025, and we wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season with Warrington.”

Sea Eagles prop Josh Aloiai has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the club until at least the conclusion of the 2027 season.

Aloiai, 28, has played 150 NRL games, 60 of them for Manly, and has also represented Samoa at the international level.

“I believe Josh is in the best shape of his career right now,” said Manly coach Anthony Seibold.

“Josh is a wonderful tutor to the younger forwards, such Haumole Olakau’atu and Gordon Chan Kum Tong, among others.”

Titans captain Kieran Foran has signed A one-year extension to stay with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

After making his NRL debut in 2009, the New Zealand international will enter his 17th season next year.

“My body is feeling fantastic, and I believe I’ve played some terrific football this season so far, and although that’s true, I’m eager to continue for another year,” Foran added.

The announcement follows the early release of Gold Coast rugby union convert Carter Gordon to begin training with the club. The 23-year-old will be a member of Gold Coast’s extended squad this season before joining the club’s top 30 roster in 2025.
