BREAKING: The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to sign 1,000-yard receiver from a rival team.

Pittsburgh Steelers looking for 1,000-yard WR from rival team.

After acquiring Russell Wilson and trading for Justin Fields, the Pittsburgh Steelers are optimistic about their quarterback situation heading into the 2024 season. Now it’s time to make sure Arthur Smith’s offense has enough playmakers for Wilson to work with in Pittsburgh.

George Pickens is without a doubt the top goal, and Pat Freiermuth is hoping to get back on track as well. However, even after dealing Diontae Johnson and replacing him with Van Jefferson and Quez Watkins, the Steelers might use additional depth at wide.

However, one former 1,000-yard receiver remains on the Steelers’ radar, and he is well-known among Pittsburgh’s AFC North foes.

Former Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd has been connected to the Steelers. He is still unsigned in free agency and has received an offer from Pittsburgh. However, the Steelers appear to have a set pricing point that they are unwilling to compromise on.

Adding Boyd, who’s 29 and is coming off a 600-yard season despite the Bengals only getting ten games out of Joe Burrow, would give the Steelers yet another proven option with vet experience. Yet, the upside in finding another mid-round, or Day 3 gem could be more enticing for the front office.
