Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement to sign a 25-year-old RB who might fill a massive void in free agency.

Deuce Vaughn and Rico Dowdle are currently the Cowboys’ top two running backs, which is not what the fan base wants to see when the regular season begins.

Since Ezekiel Elliott’s downturn and subsequent departure, the Dallas Cowboys have been working to improve their running back situation. As we approach another NFL Draft, the Cowboys, who recently signed Rico Dowdle, must find another running back for their roster.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine has a suggestion in mind and it’s free agent running back JK Dobbins, the former second-round pick from the Baltimore Ravens.

Dobbins exploded out of his shell as a rookie in 2020, rushing for 805 yards, scoring nine touchdowns, and averaging six yards per carry.

When he’s healthy, he has the tools and skillset to be a true elite NFL running back, but injuries have complicated his young career.

JK Dobbins had a season-ending knee injury in 2021 and complications essentially derailed 2022 and 2023. He appeared in just one game this past year.

The former Ohio State standout, who carried for only 22 yards last season, might experience a resurgence with the Dallas Cowboys and be in the same backfield as Dak Prescott.

At this point, he believes he is the ideal running back for Dallas to sign on a team-friendly contract, and the upside should be appealing to Jerry Jones and company.

J.K. Dobbins, the Baltimore Ravens’ 2020 second-round pick, could be a good fit for what the Dallas Cowboys are trying to do on offense.
