GOODBYE: Pittsburgh Steelers starter signs two-year contract with Denver Broncos.

Pittsburgh Steelers lose veteran starter to the Denver Broncos for the 2024 season.

A key element of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2023 defense is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos following a visit on Monday. The Steelers lost many key secondary players before free agency, including safety Keanu Neal and cornerback Patrick Peterson.

The Pittsburgh Steelers let Levi Wallace leave for free agency.

The Steelers made one under-the-radar move this offseason by allowing Levi Wallace to enter free agency. Wallace made 18 starts for Pittsburgh in 2022-23. He had 38 total tackles, 24 passes defensed, and six interceptions during that period.

Wallace is about to sign with the Denver Broncos.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Wallace will meet with the Broncos on Monday. He is likely to sign a one-year contract with the Broncos.

The #Broncos are hosting FA CB Levi Wallace on a visit today, and sources say he is expected to sign a one-year contract with Denver if all goes well. The former #Bills and #Steelers starter had lots of options, but he preferred to play under DC Vance Joseph. A crucial addition before the draft.

Wallace went from the practice squad to being a starter

Wallace was a standout at Alabama, where he helped the team win two National championships. He went undrafted in 2018 but signed with the Buffalo Bills before the 2018 season. He went from starting his rookie season on the practice squad to ending as a starter.
