Great news: the Miami Dolphins have released fantastic news for Odell Beckham Jr.

REPORT: Odell Beckham Jr. Visited the Miami Dolphins; Meeting Went Well

We now know more about how free agency WR Odell Beckham Jr.’s meeting with the Miami Dolphins went, after a source told CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson that it will take place on Thursday.

On Thursday, Odell Beckham Jr. visited the Miami Dolphins.

According to Berry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins were happy with the meeting and said it went well.

Jackson also stated that Beckham and the Dolphins should “agree on a price.”

Beckham is a free agent after playing through a one-year, $15M deal with the Baltimore Ravens where he tallied 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns in just 14 games.

Miami already has a stacked offensive force on their field, but there’s always room for more and with a coach like Mike McDaniel, you’re going to set the bar higher than it was set for yourself.

Matching up Beckham on the same field as Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill? Absolutely lethal. Just the two of them (Hill and Waddle) combine for 5.879 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns just in the last two seasons.

Even though he suffered an ACL injury in 2022, Beckham proved in 2023 he’s still able to play good football. I should mention, however, Beckham has a Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Rams, and he played right of current Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Over the last three seasons, OBJ has 13 touchdowns and while he would be coming to the team as a third receiver, he still is very capable of providing good backup to a QB like Tua Tagovailoa. He’ll be able to help both Waddle and Hill get open to score more touchdowns, and is probably a better option behind those veterans compared to a rookie who will have to grow with the organization.

Sure, Miami re-signed Braxton Berrios and River Cracraft, but having a ‘even better’ receiver on the field behind Tagovailoa, such as Beckham Jr., will help the Dolphins achieve even greater success.

Beckham is the Dolphins’ first outside receiver to come in for a visit, so if McDaniel means business, the organization and OBJ should be able to reach an agreement on a price.
