(UPI) — April 10 Pro Bowl linebacker Josh Allen and the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to a five-year, $150 million contract.

On Wednesday, sources informed ESPN, NFL Network, and The Athletic about the pact, which includes a guaranteed $88 million.

Last season, the two-time Pro Bowler recorded 66 combined tackles and a career-high 17.5 sacks. Allen also had two forced fumbles, an interception, and a pass defense in 17 starts from 2023-24.

Through his first 74 career appearances, the No. 7 overall choice in the 2019 NFL Draft recorded 251 combined tackles, 53 tackles for a loss, 45 sacks, nine forced fumbles, eight passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and one touchdown.

Pro Football Focus ranked Allen as the eighth best pass rusher among edge defenders last season.

The Jaguars gave Allen the non-exclusive franchise tag in March, allowing him to negotiate with other teams. Under the rules of the deal, the Jaguars retained the right to match any offer Allen got on the open market. They would also receive draft pick compensation if another team signed Allen.

He was scheduled to earn $24 million in 2024 under the provisions of that franchise tag, but that money will be replaced by his new contract.
