Lewis Hamilton said this about Oliver Bearman as his keen to learn from incoming Ferrari driver’s ‘winning mentality’ in 2025 F1 season

Lewis Hamilton will join Ferrari from Mercedes at the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season; Ferrari Driver Academy product Oliver Bearman has secured a 2025 spot with Haas.

Oliver Bearman, a British adolescent, hopes to “learn a lot” from Lewis Hamilton when the seven-time world champion joins Ferrari next season with his “winning attitude.”

Bearman has progressed through the Ferrari Driver Academy to secure a 2025 Formula One seat with Haas, presumably on loan from the Italian side, with the 19-year-old hoping to one day drive for the sport’s most famous team.

Hamilton will join Ferrari from Mercedes next season, which should result in the British two working closely together, with Bearman likely to remain engaged despite being at Haas.

“I think he’ll add a lot of expertise to the squad,” Bearman told Sky Sports at Silverstone after signing his multi-year Haas contract ahead of the British Grand Prix.

“He has won seven world championships, which is something that few people can boast. He will bring a positive attitude to the squad, a winning attitude, but his potential is evident. “He’s one of the greatest to ever do it.”

Hamilton won a thrilling race at Silverstone two weeks ago, ending a 56-race winless skid that dated back to December 2021, and the Brit dispelled worries, notably his own, about whether he is still capable of producing his greatest form at 39.”It’s nice that he can share some of his expertise with me,” Bearman concluded.

“I expect to learn a lot from him, and I hope Ferrari does as well, since I believe he will be a valuable asset to the team.

Bearman: I hope to win world titles with Ferrari.
While Ferrari’s driver lineup is set for at least the next several seasons, with Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on multi-year contracts, Bearman says his ultimate goal is to win world titles in red.

The Essex-born driver accelerated his journey to the F1 grid by making a highly confident grand prix debut for Ferrari in lieu of an ailing Carlos Sainz in this year’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Bearman raced with elegance to finish seventh in Jeddah, becoming Ferrari’s youngest driver, and his performance drew the attention of Haas team president Ayao Komatsu “I believe Ferrari is one of the most iconic brands in the world, particularly inside racing and F1. If you sketch an automobile, it is red. “It’s a name that is connected with racing, win, achievement, and brilliant drivers,” Bearman stated “So, first of all, to make my debut with Ferrari, that hasn’t occurred in a long time, and the fact that I became the youngest Ferrari driver was something extremely meaningful for me.

“Of course, I want to win world championships, and doing it with Ferrari is my goal.” They’ve been helping me since 2021. They had seen something from me early on. They opted to believe in me, even if putting me behind the wheel in Jeddah was a significant risk on Ferrari’s part.

“So that demonstrates that they believe in me, that they have faith in my abilities, and of course, one day I hope to win a championship, particularly with Ferrari.”

In Friday’s opening practice session at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Bearman will make his fourth of six Practice One outings for Haas this season.

Antonelli, a Bearman prospect, will join him in Formula One.
Bearman’s performance in Jeddah elevated him to the top of the Formula 2 field, with Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the Brit’s Prema teammate, being the other significant player in the support series.

The Italian, who will not turn 18 until August, has long been the frontrunner to succeed Hamilton at Mercedes, with the team feeling his unique skill warrants a quick promotion to the front of the grid.
