Almost all of Michigan football’s Transfer Portal players have registered.
The Michigan Wolverines have expanded their roster with a plethora of new athletes from the spring Transfer Portal, preparing for a potential football season. These newcomers are expected to play key roles on both defense and attack, increasing the team’s competitive advantage.
On the defensive side, cornerbacks Ricky Johnson from UNLV and Aamir Hall, a 2023 FCS All-American from Albany, are key additions. Johnson adds depth and experience, while Hall brings a competitive intensity that might excite the Wolverines’ secondary. Further boosting the defense are safeties Wesley Walker, previously of Tennessee, and Jaden Mangham who has come over from Michigan State. Their arrival is critical to sustaining a dynamic and resilient defensive backfield.

The team had already added strength during the winter with offensive lineman Josh Priebe from Northwestern and linebacker Jaishawn Barham from Maryland. Both have quickly adapted to their new roles, with Priebe eyeing a starting position and Barham adding depth to the linebacker group.
As Michigan prepares for fall camp, the integration of these transfers is more than just filling vacancies; it’s about strategically enhancing the team’s overall capabilities. With the final spring transfer commitments, including C.J. Charleston and Jaden Mangham, still finalizing their enrollment, the roster is shaping up robustly. The combination of experienced newcomers and seasoned players lays a strong foundation for the Wolverines as they aim to excel in the upcoming season.
