NASCAR All-Star Race to remain in North Wilkesboro, N.C., in 2025 for 3rd straight year

North Wilkesboro, North Carolina (AP) The NASCAR All-Star Race will remain in North Wilkesboro next year.

North Wilkesboro Speedway officials announced Friday that the short track would host the annual $1 million exhibition race for the third consecutive year on May 18, 2025.

The announcement is made as the track prepares to host this year’s All-Star Race on Sunday night. NASCAR returned to the renovated track last year for the first time since 1996. The track has been repaved within the last year.

“I think it is a good thing,” Cup Series driver Chase Elliott remarked. “This place has been around for a long time and is in the center of NASCAR country, with Charlotte just down the road.

Personally, I was pleased to see that they had invested a significant amount of money to repave the area, as this indicated that it will be around for a long time. The fan turnout was excellent last year, and I hope it continues.

” Kyle Larson won his third All-Star race in dominant fashion last year and is considered a favorite if he is able to attend due to scheduling difficulties with the Indianapolis 500 qualifying.

The NASCAR truck series will also return to North Wilkesboro in 2025 as part of the All-Star race weekend.
