Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever rookie, made headlines in college for her highlight reel skills, but she has struggled since being selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft..
Clark and the Fever have lost two early-season games in a blowout, with Clark struggling with efficiency. She hasn’t been the same player who used to destroy the campus atmosphere, but she will develop into that character over time.
Sabrina Ionescu, a New York Liberty superstar, commented on Clark’s performance, offering advise and high respect for the pressurized rookie.
“It’s just tough, you always are going to have to fight adversity and I think that’s part of everyone’s journey. Being able to weather that storm and figure out, what makes you, you… She’s so young, so she’s going to be able to learn and grow,” said Ionescu, via New York Liberty Videos on X.
“Times like this are when you figure out what you’re really made of and you continue to improve as a teammate, as a basketball player, as a person. I’m not the least bit worried about what she’s going to be able to accomplish in the league,” Ionescu continued.
