NFL Free Agency: Tennessee Titans’ Top Player Signs Two-Year Deal with Ravens

Nashville — Derrick Henry’s tenure with the Tennessee Titans has ended.

Henry has agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract worth up to $20 million, with $9 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Titans signed veteran Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard on Monday, making Henry’s exit inevitable. Ran Carthon, the Titans’ general manager, signed Pollard to a three-year contract worth $24 million.

Henry will now join quarterback Lamar Jackson in the Ravens backfield for a team that made the AFC Championship Game last season.

After eight seasons, Henry leaves the Titans as the franchise’s second-leading rusher all-time. Besides the most formidable stiff arm in the NFL, Henry had:

1. Five seasons of 1,000-plus yards;

2. 90 total touchdowns;

3. Four Pro Bowls;

4.and one first-team All-Pro honor.

Henry is the fifth Titans free agent to move on to another team. The others are: Sean Murphy-Bunting (Arizona Cardinals), Aaron Brewer (Miami Dolphins), and Denico Autry and Azeez Al-Shaair (Houston Texans).
