Parramatta Eels’ top nine (9) board members leave the club and join a new team.

Parramatta Eels’ top 30 member leaves the club to join a new team.

He was a former teammate of Peter Mamouzelos.

Tevita Taumoepenu, a member of the Parramatta Eels’ Top 30 roster, has departed the club to join another team, effective immediately.

Taumoepenu began his career in the South Sydney Rabbitohs junior system and joined the Eels on a development contract in 2022 before being upgraded to the club’s Top 30 squad for the current season.

However, the forward was unable to make his NRL debut for the club and has spent the majority of the last two seasons in the NSW Cup and Ron Massey Cup, with one appearance in the NRL Pre-Season Challenge.

He is a Maroubra Lions junior and former teammate of Peter Mamouzelos, and he is a dependable forward pack player who does the simple things that every forward must do on a consistent basis.

Taumoepenu left the Eels after 32 NSW Cup games and returned to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Since returning to the Rabbitohs, he has been appointed a starting prop for this week’s reserve grade match against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The forward’s departure means that the Parramatta Eels will have another open space on their Top 30 roster for the rest of the season.
