The Pittsburgh Steelers get a MAJOR offensive weapon for Russell Wilson in the latest 2024 NFL mock draft.
How will the Steelers surround Russell Wilson in 2024?
According to ESPN’s most recent 2024 NFL Draft projections, the Pittsburgh Steelers will get a potentially game-changing offensive weapon for Russell Wilson. The Steelers will take Texas wide receiver Adonai Mitchell with the 20th choice in next month’s annual event, according to their most recent mock draft.
“The Steelers have drastically changed their quarterback situation with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, but they also recently traded Diontae Johnson and could use a standout receiver to complement George Pickens.” Mitchell had a breakout season at Texas after transferring from Georgia, averaging 15.4 yards per catch and 11 touchdowns. He can fly at 6-foot-2 and ran a 4.34 at the combine, so I really like this fit.”
Pittsburgh Steelers’ Quarterback Carousel in 2023
In a season that included starting the likes of former first-round picks, Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky under center, the Pittsburgh Steelers rode the ‘hot hand’ of Mason Rudolph to a surprise playoff berth. With Pickett’s on-field struggles coupled with his recent injury record, the club decided to trade their former first-round pick, alongside a fourth-round selection in this year’s draft to the Philadelphia Eagles for their cross-town rivals’ third-round pick, this coming April.
The Steelers continued to revamp their quarterback room by signing veteran, Russell Wilson to a one-year, league minimum deal in addition to sending out a sixth-round draft choice to the Chicago Bears for former first-round pick, Justin Fields.
