“Ready to leave” Providence Friars forward set to end his contract as part of a double deal.

Josh Oduro, a Gainesville local, will participate in the Final Four weekend.

Josh Oduro, a Gainesville resident, will partake in the NABC Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix.

This event is part of the Final Four weekend. Oduro is a member of the Eastern All-Star Team.

During his one season at Providence College, the graduate student averaged 15.9 points and 7.5 rebounds. He started 34 games for the Friars.

A 6-foot-9 forward, Oduro transferred to Providence after playing his first four seasons at George Mason University.

Oduro played his sophomore season as a member of Battlefield High School’s varsity basketball team before spending his final two seasons at Paul VI.
