REPORT: The Baltimore Ravens bolstered their offensive line by signing a former third-round draft pick.

The Baltimore Ravens had a strong offensive line last season, allowing the third-fewest hurries, second-fewest hits, second-fewest pressures, third-lowest pressure percentage, 18th-fewest sacks, and ranking ninth in pass block victory rate in 2023.

The offseason has not been kind to Baltimore’s offensive line. Two of their five starters remain, as LG. John Simpson signed with the New York Jets, RG Kevin Zeitler joined the Detroit Lions, and RT Morgan Moses was dealt to the New York Jets.

The team addressed the situation today by adding a versatile offensive tackle.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed a talented offensive tackle.

According to Ari Meirov, Baltimore has signed Josh Jones to a one-year contract.

Josh Jones began his career with the Arizona Cardinals and played a variety of positions.

Jones was selected by Arizona in the third round, 72nd overall, in the 2020 NFL draft. Jones played LT, RG, and RT throughout his first three seasons with Arizona, appearing in 47 games and starting 21.

Jones appeared in 13 games but did not make any starts in his rookie season, instead playing as an extra offensive lineman in the jumbo configuration. In 54 offensive snaps, he committed no penalties, allowed no sacks, and earned a 43.0 PFF grade.

Jones played in 13 games but didn’t make any starts in his rookie season and saw playing time as an extra offensive lineman in the jumbo formation. He had zero penalties, zero sacks allowed, and a 43.0 PFF Grade in 54 offensive snaps.

Jones played in 17 games, starting 11 at right guard and one at right tackle in his second season. He struggled and had 12 penalties, four sacks allowed, and a 46.7 PFF Grade in 852 offensive snaps.

Jones played in 17 games, starting nine at left tackle in his third season. He did a solid job of filling in for the injured D.J. Humphries and had nine penalties, four sacks allowed, and a 75.8 PFF Grade in 622 offensive snaps.

Arizona traded Jones prior to the start of the 2023 season.

The Houston Texans traded for Josh Jones.

Jones appeared in 12 games, starting one at left guard and two at left tackle in 2023. He struggled, recording five penalties, one sack, and a 49.3 PFF grade in 227 offensive snaps.

The Baltimore Ravens have a complex offensive line problem.

Two of last season’s five starters, LT Ronnie Stanley and C Tyler Linderbaum, are currently under contract, leaving the other three starting places open for contention.

Depending on what they do for the rest of free agency and the draft, the players that will likely compete for one of the three starting spots include Andrew Vorhees, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Josh Jones, Ben Cleveland, Patrick Mekari, and Daniel Faalele.
