“So sad to see him go.” Green Bay Packers RB signs two-year contract with Cincinnati Bengals.

In an intriguing move, the Green Bay Packers trade for a wanted   Cincinnati Bengals weapon.

The Green Bay Packers may not have an immediate need for a wide receiver, but when you have the opportunity to trade for a rising star in exchange for a draft asset, it’s difficult not to consider it.

Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins has sought a trade from the organization, and it could be the perfect time for the Packers to pounce and acquire him.

In an intriguing proposal, the Green Bay Packers traded for Tee Higgins.

While Higgins recently said that he anticipates playing for the Bengals in 2024, the fact of the matter is he hasn’t really retracted his trade request and his future with the team is very much in the air.

With that said, the Packers could come in and take the Bengals’ headache away from them in a move that should make them even more competitive offensively.

Higgins is only 25 years old and very much fits the Packers’ timeline with Jordan Love as their franchise quarterback. While Green Bay has Christian Watson, who has done more than enough to show that he can be a star in the league, adding Higgins will give them a true no. 1 option who could further elevate them.

In four seasons, Higgins has career totals of 257 receptions for 3684 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Besides, you can never have too much weapon in the NFL when roster turnover is prevalent and often hinders teams. The more weapons you have, the better.

Furthermore, it won’t really take a lot for the Packers to trade for Higgins. A trade proposal from FanSided has Green Bay acquiring the wideout from Cincinnati for a second-round pick.

“Needless to say, acquiring Higgins is affordable for the Packers both in terms of the draft compensation that might be required to get him as well as the salary cap allocation,” Sayre Bedinger of FanSided explained.

“The Packers would finally have a true featured option in the passing game, a proven weapon on the outside who would make everyone else in the offense better. Jordan Love would have a true WR1 that he could grow with for the foreseeable future. This type of deal is a no-brainer for the Packers in their current window, which is wide open. If Love had looked horrendous last season, this wouldn’t make sense, but you’ve got to adjust strategy based on the way he played.”

Will the Cincinnati Bengals Trade Tee Higgins to Green Bay Packers?

The Green Bay Packers’ interest in trading for Higgins remains to be seen, but the bigger question is if the Cincinnati Bengals will do the same. But if there is a true possibility to do something, Green Bay should consider it.

The Bengals will undoubtedly be determined to strike a deal with Higgins. Nonetheless, it will be difficult for them because they will also have to pay Ja’Marr Chase.

For the time being, the Packers must remain patient and wait to see what the Bengals will do. Besides, they have other positional issues to solve, which they may focus on in the meantime.

With the NFL Draft coming up shortly, Green Bay would be better suited filling their other needs, such as drafting a safety, offensive lineman, and inside linebacker.
